The 27W USB-C PD (Power Delivery) Power Supply is designed to deliver stable, high-current power for the Raspberry Pi 5, enabling it to run a wider range of USB peripherals and accessories without power limitations.
It provides a maximum output of 5.1V at 5A, allowing the Raspberry Pi 5 to operate reliably even when multiple external devices are connected. By default, the total power drawn from the four USB ports on Raspberry Pi 5 is limited to 600mA, but this limit is automatically increased to 1.6A when this USB-C PD power supply is detected, ensuring improved peripheral compatibility and performance.
In addition to Raspberry Pi use, the adapter supports multiple USB-C Power Delivery profiles, including 3A at 9V, 2.25A at 12V and 1.8A at 15V, making it suitable for many PD-compatible electronic products such as development boards, embedded devices and portable equipment.
