The Official Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ – 13 TOPS is a powerful hardware accelerator designed to extend the AI capabilities of Raspberry Pi systems. It connects directly to the 40-pin GPIO header on compatible Raspberry Pi boards, adding dedicated AI processing power without burdening the main CPU.
This AI HAT+ delivers up to 13 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) of neural network inferencing performance, enabling real-time execution of demanding AI and machine learning models at the edge. With this acceleration, tasks such as object detection, image classification, semantic segmentation, pose estimation and other computer vision workloads run significantly faster compared to using CPU-only inference.
The board is built in the standard Raspberry Pi HAT form factor, making it easy to attach to Raspberry Pi models with a 40-pin header such as Raspberry Pi 4 and newer. Its compact design allows it to be used in embedded projects, robotics systems, smart cameras, autonomous agents and AI-driven IoT devices.
The Raspberry Pi AI HAT+ integrates with existing Raspberry Pi software ecosystems and supports popular AI frameworks and runtime environments, allowing developers to deploy custom neural networks developed in TensorFlow, PyTorch or other tools.
