The Arduino Mega 2560 Rev3 is a versatile and high-performance microcontroller development board built around the ATmega2560 MCU. It is specially designed for projects that demand a large number of input/output pins, higher memory capacity, and multiple communication interfaces. Compared to Arduino Uno, the Mega 2560 offers significantly expanded capabilities, making it suitable for advanced robotics, industrial automation, IoT gateways, and control systems.
The board features 54 digital I/O pins, including 15 PWM outputs, along with 16 analog input pins, allowing it to interface with numerous sensors, actuators, displays, and modules simultaneously. It also includes four hardware serial ports (UARTs), making it ideal for projects involving GPS, GSM, Bluetooth, WiFi, and other serial-based devices at the same time.
