The Sharp LQ104S1DG21 is a 10.4-inch a-Si TFT-LCD display panel, designed primarily for industrial and medical applications where reliability, clarity, and robustness are critical. Manufactured by Sharp Corporation, this display is a widely adopted solution across numerous embedded and rugged-use environments.
It features a native SVGA resolution of 800×600 pixels, with a pixel density of 96 PPI, ensuring sharp image rendering and highly legible text, even in detail-critical displays such as HMIs, diagnostics monitors, and control panels. The panel utilizes Twisted Nematic (TN) technology and a transmissive, normally white display mode, achieving a contrast ratio of 300:1 (typical) for clear differentiation between image elements.
The active display area of 211.2 mm (W) × 158.4 mm (H) offers ample space for industrial GUIs and process data visualization, while the overall module dimensions are engineered to fit within a wide range of enclosures.
With antiglare treatment, 3H hard coating, and anti-reflection layers, the LQ104S1DG21 is optimized for readability and surface protection in bright or harsh environments. The panel supports a standard 60Hz refresh rate, contributing to smooth content display.
For illumination, the module uses a dual CCFL backlight system capable of providing up to 50,000 hours of operational life. It does not include a built-in backlight driver, allowing for flexible integration with external inverters. The display connects via a standard 31-pin, single-channel 6-bit RGB interface, making it compatible with a wide range of industrial controller boards.
The panel is built to withstand vibration levels up to 1.0G (9.8 m/s²), reinforcing its suitability for rugged and mobile systems. It operates within a temperature range of -10°C to 65°C, and can be stored safely in temperatures between -30°C and 70°C, ensuring reliability in both operational and non-operational states.
